De grote kunstshow – theatre show
In 2022, a special edition of De Grote Kunstshow (The Great Art Show) will take place, entirely dedicated to Bas Kosters. De Grote Kunstshow will be performed in Arnhem, Amsterdam, Utrecht, Eindhoven and Den Haag from march 11 till may 1, 2022.
‘The Great Art Show with Bas Kosters’ is a show in which the fashion, drawings, dolls, wall hangings and other expressions of Bas Kosters are brought to life theatrically. With light, music, monologues, interviews and theatre, highlights from Koster’s multidisciplinary oeuvre are presented and – above all – the motives and stories behind this are put in the spotlight. Gender identity, ideals of beauty, overconsumption, vulnerability and eroticism are the fascinations of Bas Kosters – ideal ingredients for a stimulating art show.
The Great Art Show is an initiative of Johan Idema. Produced by Johan Idema and TOT, in collaboration with Studio Bas Kosters.
