Naakt dat raakt – Museum Arnhem

In the exhibition ‘Nude with attitude’, Museum Arnhem shows how artists use the naked body to discuss themes such as freedom, identity and inequality. I am happy and honoured that the museum has acquired a set of my glass objects form the ‘This penis is my friend’ series. Get overwhelmed by the sensuality and beauty of the exhibition.

‘This penis is my friend’ is a non-toxic encounter with the male reproductive sex organ. These objects have no face, though they do have a character. They are from a family, but they are one of a kind. With his interest in sexuality as a visual language Kosters explores the way we can connect in a new way to the penis as a friend in our daily lives. The objects reassure us that life can be more than we are taught.

Unique, numbered objects produced by International Glassmuseum Leerdam. Each approximately 30 x 18 cm. I have been creating glass art objects in collaboration with the National Glass Museum since 2016. Working with glass gives me an opportunity to investigate the meaning of value within his work.
