Big Art is an annual art exhibition at the former Bijlmer jail.
We will show my biggest work:
Love is all alone is a tribute to family, connection, love and loneliness.
The stories and traditions that are handed over from generation to generation shape us. When my father passed away, I was forced to look at his legacy, and what my legacy might be in the future. This tapestry is made from my father’s entire wardrobe. It was a compact but very personal collection of clothes including items with prints I designed for him. He wore them proudly during council meetings or at his work. Now the garments I made for him rest in this tribute tapestry, as a perfect example of a full circle story.
