Quest for selflove

“Quest for self love” is a series, which consists of textile works and a few drawings. A short escape to the sun is where Bas Kosters started my project “Quest for self love” with a series of sketches and drawings, that is how a project usually starts.

One goes trough so many phases in life, one of them for Bas Kosters was surely the re-evaluation of the self. So necessary, every now and then, and especially for Bas at that moment. Different aesthetic worlds were united in this series, with on one hand the character based images with iconic Teewee figure and on the other hand more human like figures with blinded eyes. An investigation on the new use of materials, texts and figures.
